Parmesan - an excellent cheese for recipes!

Parmesan is a great cheese for recipes! However, we know that there are so many variations of this flavorful hard, grated cheese that it can sometimes be challenging to figure out which one is best.

Some people swear by the sharper, spicy taste of aged Parmesan, while others prefer a milder and nuttier flavor. So how exactly do you choose the right Parmesan cheese? The good news is that there are quite a few different Parmesan varieties available.

You've probably heard of it in terms of "Parmigiano-Reggiano," which is a hard Italian cheese that's used in top-notch Italian dishes as well as many international cuisines.

Parmigiano-Reggiano is the original kind, which has been made by a select group of producers for years in Italy.
