Salmon in Cubes

Salmon in cubes is an easy and healthy recipe for the spring or summer that takes just six ingredients. It's a delicious, light dish that melts in your mouth and is only 300 calories per serving. Salmon cubes can be served with a zesty lemon-chive cream sauce as part of a salad with an avocado-lime dressing or on top of roasted asparagus.

In this recipe, we served with pasta, because my daughter just asked! :)

My daughter loves this salmon dish. Since last week, she asked for it when we had a fresh bite of salmon I gave her on our visit to my mother. She preferred that it was whole, but I could not resist her request and made the recipe in cubes. Now she is asking for it again as it is one of her favorite dishes in the whole world!

Benefits of salmon

Salmon is a delicacy for many people globally, but the benefits of salmon have been discovered in recent years. Salmon offers substantial health benefits, and improved heart health, lower cholesterol levels, and weight loss are some of its benefits.

The nutritional value of salmon is abundant and diverse. For example, salmon provides omega-3 fatty acids essential for brain development and neurological development. Salmon also contains selenium, an essential nutrient linked to improved heart health, skin health, anti-oxidant protection, and eye health.

Although salmon is high in omega-3 fatty acids, it is also high in cholesterol. However, research has shown that the fat in salmon does not negatively affect cholesterol levels. However, if you are at risk of heart disease, you should consult your doctor before eating more than 6 ounces of salmon.

How to store cooked salmon

You know you love salmon, but do you know how to store it? Unfortunately, it's not always the easiest food to refrigerate, especially if you've cooked a whole fillet and don't want to eat the entire thing. This quick guide will show you how to cook and store your salmon in 5 easy steps.

1) Clean Your Fish Using a Dish Towel: Use a clean dish towel to pat the skin of your fish dry, removing any excess moisture or oil that might have accumulated there during cooking.

2) Wrap in Plastic Wrap: Rip off a piece of plastic wrap and lay it out on your cutting board. Place the cooked salmon, skin side down, on top of the plastic wrap. Smooth it out as much as possible, from top to bottom and from left to right.

3) Cover in Aluminum Foil: Cover the salmon as tightly as possible using a sheet of aluminum foil. Ensure that there is no air pocket between the fish and the foil. You can even use another piece of plastic wrap as a barrier between the fish and the foil itself.

4) Store At A Cool Temperature: Place your wrapped salmon in your refrigerator at 40 degrees or below for no more than one day before consuming.

5) Store In Your Freezer: Storing your cooked salmon in the refrigerator could mean that it is overcooked. If you want to make sure your salmon isn't overcooked, put it in a freezer bag and freeze it for up to six months. Do not thaw before cooking; remove from the freezer and defrost on your countertop.

Soja sauce and teriyaki: the perfect combination

Guys, I just want to remind you of the importance of balance. It would be best if you had a little bit of soy sauce with your steak, and you should always eat teriyaki sauce with the chicken wings. It's delicious!

If you've ever had a craving for grilled burgers but are worried about turning into that guy who's obsessed with charred beef patties, then this is for you. Try a little teriyaki sauce with your burgers. It adds a welcome savory flavor, making the meat nice and juicy. A little bit of teriyaki sauce with some steamed broccoli? Delicious! But have you tried to put in salmon? If not, you should! It's AMAZING!

There's even paleo teriyaki sauce! Just remember, the key to balance is moderation. You don't need a lot of it, just enough to make everything taste good.

Yeah, I'm slightly obsessed with teriyaki. It's a dark and mysterious sauce that's been around for a long time. But it doesn't take much to turn it into something amazing.

About this recipe

Here at home, we love salmon, and in this recipe, I decided to make salmon and cut it into cubes. I've put together various ingredients that will give the salmon a super delicious flavor.

The first to do is cut the salmon into cubes. Then, in a separate bowl, add the lemon juice, the chopped garlic, the chives, the soy sauce, and teriyaki. Mix very well and involve in the container with the salmon. Wrap with your hands.

Cover the container and let it rest at room temperature for 15 minutes. Then, in olive oil, you can start cooking the salmon, turning it over and over again.

It doesn't last more than 5m, and it's ready to serve after that time!

So good! Enjoy and see you next week.
